This library can read and write FIT files and convert them into a Ruby data structure for easy processing. This library was written for Garmin devices like the FR620, Fenix 3, Fenix 3 HR, Fenix 5 (s and X). Fit files from other devices may work as well but have not been tested.

FIT files are binary, and as a result, are a pain to parse. This is a wrapper around the FIT SDK, which makes creating a stream based parser simple.
PostRunner is an application to manage FIT files such as those produced by Garmin products like the Forerunner 620 (FR620), Forerunner 25 (FR25), Fenix 3, Fenix 3HR, Fenix 5 (S and X). It allows you to import the files from the device and analyze the data. In addition to the common features like plotting pace, heart rates, elevation and other captured values it also provides a heart rate variability (HRV) and sleep analysis. It can also update satellite orbit prediction (EPO) data on the device to speed-up GPS fix times. It is an offline alternative to Garmin Connect. The software has been developed and tested on Linux but should work on other operating systems as well.

This is the simple REST client for Fitness API V1. Simple REST clients are Ruby client libraries that provide access to Google services via their HTTP REST API endpoints. These libraries are generated and updated automatically based on the discovery documents published by the service, and they handle most concerns such as authentication, pagination, retry, timeouts, and logging. You can use this client to access the Fitness API, but note that some services may provide a separate modern client that is easier to use.
