The `result` function helps you execute a function or promise while capturing errors in a structured way. It ensures that results and errors are explicitly handled using a `Result<E, T>` type.

TestInternals patches Test::Unit::TestCase to allow testing of private methods, as well as variables. The stack trace is also available, including the ability to check that specific parameters were sent to a method. This results in cotton candy goodness for all.
Did you ever want to make your flay results persistent?!? Me neither, but now you can! This flay plugin allows you to run flay across multiple runs combining and persisting the results. This allows you to detect plagiarism or good gem candidates across multiple projects.
Easily check a domain's availability from the commandline. Usage: checkdomain domain [domain2 domain3 etc.] You can also use globs for more goodness and they will be expanded: checkdomain example.{com, org, net} This will result in checks for each of the following: * example.com * example.org * example.net
Do you like to search through code using ag, ack, grep, pt, or rg? Good! This tool is for you! Zoom adds some convenience to grep-like search tools by allowing you to quickly open your search results in your editor of choice. When looking at large code-bases, it can be a pain to have to scroll to find the filename of each result. Zoom prints a tag number in front of each result that grep outputs. Then you can quickly open that tag number with Zoom to jump straight to the source. Zoom is even persistent across all your sessions! You can search in one terminal and jump to a tag in another terminal from any directory!
Hey Ruby‽ Good programmers are like scientists. When they want to answer a question They form a hypothesis, then verify it with an experiment. Rubyists have the experimentation phase down, but we tend not to hypothesize fully. This gem helps people new to Ruby by prompting them for a hypothesis before returning the result of their experiment.
They are some performance critical pieces of code that will be executed on huge data sets, which we want to make sure will run fast enough. Unfortunately, enforcing this is not easy, often requiring large scale and slow benchmarks. This rspec library (the result of an experiment to learn machine learning) uses linear regression to determine the time complexity (Big O notation, O(x)) of a piece of code and to check that it is at least as good as what we expect. This does not require huge data sets (only a few large ones) and can be written as any unit test (not as fast though).
"Many languages provide a vast library of methods or functions for developers to use, whereas Ruby only provides basic (albeit powerful) building blocks. At best, this leads to more complex applications and time wasted writing code another developer has probably already written; at worst it results in core class extensions being placed in helper methods or on objects that have no business owning the methods. The lack of a good strategy for managing Ruby extentions really becomes apparent when a developer needs to share his extensions across multiple projects. Corelib aims to solve this problem by providing a central gem for developers to share extensions & additions to the Ruby core.
