Genit builds a **static web site**, that is a web site without server side programing language and database. The site consists only of xhtml code (+ css and medias) and eventually of javascript. It is a command line framework, essentially based on conventions. Genit is based on the idea that we don't have to learn any new languages to manage templates because xml can do it well. Genit is design to be simple, readable and minimalist.
Moka is a damn simple framework designed to build static websites like portfolios, showcases, minisites, HTML mockups, etc. Moka setup takes a single command, and it provides you with a hierarchical template system and some super-convenient helper functions so you never have to write more code than necessary. The result of your work is compiled to plain HTML, CSS and Javascript: you just need to upload it to your server to deploy it. Add as a bonus the Lipsum helpers, with which you can generate dummy text with a single line of code during development or in HTML mockups.
A smart, static site generator that automatically manages dependencies to achieve blazing build times with minimal cognitive load. Only new and changed files, and files upstream of a changed dependency are processed. Renders markdown or embedded-Ruby (Erb-like) content as HTML. Supports templates (embedded & layout), which may be included within content sources or other templates. Document metadata may me added using a plain-text preamble of key-value pairs. Generates a complete website that can be served by the built-in WEBrick server.
