PacketFu is a mid-level packet manipulation library for Ruby. With it, users can read, parse, and write network packets with the level of ease and fun they expect from Ruby.
A custom interface that unpacks aggregate packets (packets with many granules) into many simple packets (packets with a single granule). This way we can use all the cosmos niceties without having to send packets for individual measurements. Essentially we unpack an aggregate packet into many packets that are stored in a queue that is read from. When the queue is empty we look for new aggregate packets
Redhound is a pure Ruby packet analyzer that can be used to capture and analyze network packets.
This library can be used as a module for 'fog' or as a standalone Packet provider.
ruby_can - Raw library for listening and sending CAN bus packets over SocketCAN
Steam Hlds Log Parser listens to UDP log packets sent by your (local or remote) HLDS game server, processes data and returns clean or/and translated and readable content that you can use for your website, irc channel, match live streaming, bots, database... Should work with all Steam HLDS based games, and has been mostly tested on Counter-Strike 1.6.
OVSImager draws a graph that describes relationship among Open vSwitch bridges, Linux bridges, and namespaces for routing. It can also mark the ports where ping packets went through using tcpdump, which is a useful feature for trouble-shooting in SDN environments.
Nodule lets you declare Topologies of processes, which can be started or stopped together. You can also redirect sockets, set up interprocess communication, make assertions on captured packets between processes and generally monitor or change the interaction of any of your processes. Nodule is great for integration testing or for bringing up complicated interdependent sets of processes on a single host.
Kaitai Struct is a declarative language used for describe various binary data structures, laid out in files or in memory: i.e. binary file formats, network stream packet formats, etc. The main idea is that a particular format is described in Kaitai Struct language (.ksy file) and then can be compiled with ksc into source files in one of the supported programming languages. These modules will include a generated code for a parser that can read described data structure from a file / stream and give access to it in a nice, easy-to-comprehend API. This package provides small runtime library used by code generated by Kaitai Struct compiler.

Given a particular binary file and .ksy file(s) that describe its format, it can visualize internal data structures in a tree form and a multi-level highlight hex viewer.
HeapPeriscopeUi is a Rails engine designed to help developers monitor, visualize, and diagnose memory-related issues within their Ruby applications. It functions by listening for UDP packets containing GC profiler reports and heap snapshots, typically transmitted by a companion agent (like `heap_periscope_agent`). The engine efficiently processes this data: GC reports are batched for optimized database insertion, while comprehensive heap snapshots, including detailed object counts by class, are stored transactionally. Furthermore, HeapPeriscopeUi can broadcast incoming metrics via ActionCable for real-time dashboard updates. Its integrated web interface allows users to browse, filter, and analyze the collected profiler reports, facilitating the identification of memory leaks, excessive object allocations, and opportunities for performance optimization.
