Like Memoize, but designed for mutable and parametizable objects Use when: 1. You have one expensive method (\compute) which set many internal variables. So, is preferable lazy evaluation of these dependent variables. 2. The expensive operation depends on one or more parameters 3. Changes on one or more parameters affect all dependent variables 4. You may want to hide the call of 'compute' operation 5. The user could want test several different parameters values

Periodically polls one or more cloud computing accounts using the fog gem, and generates ActiveRecord rows representing BillingRecords for each discovered resource.
PairKit lets you temporarily expose any ports, on your local computer, to someone else on the Internet. This makes it great for sharing your local web server with a friend, or letting a buddy ssh into your box to pair with you on some code. PairKit uses SSH to set up reverse tunnels (one per exposed port) to your computer through a public server.
HexaPDF is a pure Ruby library with an accompanying application for working with PDF files. In short, it allows creating new PDF files, manipulating existing PDF files, merging multiple PDF files into one, extracting meta information, text, images and files from PDF files, securing PDF files by encrypting them and optimizing PDF files for smaller file size or other criteria. HexaPDF was designed with ease of use and performance in mind. It uses lazy loading and lazy computing when possible and tries to produce small PDF files by default.
The rubber plugin enables relatively complex multi-instance deployments of RubyOnRails applications to Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). Like capistrano, rubber is role based, so you can define a set of configuration files for a role and then assign that role to as many concrete instances as needed. One can also assign multiple roles to a single instance. This lets one start out with a single ec2 instance (belonging to all roles), and add new instances into the mix as needed to scale specific facets of your deployment, e.g. adding in instances that serve only as an 'app' role to handle increased app server load.
to install do gem install rockpaperscissorsschwad . Then you specify the number of players, two means two humans and one means against the computer. After that it will prompt you to make a move! Good luck!
A simple ruby gem that is used to compute how similar two strings are to one another. It includes a fast C implementation of the jaro-winkler distance algorith and soon the levenshtein distance algorithm. More metrics on the way.
Keep your eye on new commits being pushed to Github through an interactive interface. When new commits are seen by Hubeye, you can choose to be notified by one of Hubeye's notification systems (growl, libnotify, etc...). All interesting activity is logged, so leave your computer, come back, and know what changed.
You can specify if you wanna face the computer or if you wanna play against your friend in a riveting game of you guessed it none other than only the one the fantastic the legendary the incredible wonderful beautiful rock paper scissors.
