A Config loader that allows multiple nested configs, specified as Javascript files, that inherit from a parent. The root config, all.js, is loaded first. Then, for each entry in a hyphen-separated NODE_ENV, another config is merged in.
Keep API secrets out of plaintext config: layered .ranbval* env files, decrypt vault tokens only when used, optional usage telemetry — minimal deps, your own HTTP/SDK stack.

Core types and registry utilities for TokenLens (model metadata).
Layer and resolve configuration from YAML, JSON, or `.env` templates: merge multiple sources, interpolate literals (environment, built-in functions, AWS Parameter Store / Secrets Manager), write resolved files, and read values from the CLI or Node.js.

LayeredYAMLConfig provides a simple config file that supports multiple layers. Values in the right or uppermost layers override values in lower layers. This makes it easy to share configuration without duplication while still allowing what needs to be different to vary. For example: program.default.conf program.server_foo.conf program.site_bar.conf program.conf Optionally, leaf nodes can be evaluated using as ERB templates, feeding the configuration into itself.
Layer over configatron with conventions for environment-based and site-specific config
A zero-dependency Ruby gem for layered configuration resolution. Define typed config keys with defaults, load from YAML files, and override with environment variables.
Config. Defined as a class. Used as an instance. Support for inheritance and composition. Lazy instantiation. Thread-safe. Command-style DSL. Validation layer. Support for YAML, TOML, JSON, __END__, ENV. Extremely simple to define. Extremely simple to use.
A Rails model layer for your Chef configuration. Control your Chef configs with Rails.
Wilbur is primarly a wrapper around OpenWRT Buildroot. Building a custom OpenWRT image with a custom kernel is not so difficult if done once, but as long as you need to integrate it into your infrastructure things can start to scatter. Wilbur allows resources like kernel configurations, patches, custom config files to be sticked together and managed as a single, configurable and cloneable entity. Also, Wilbur provides a layer of abstraction over Vagrant and enables repeatable, predictable builds and repeatable, predictable deployments via network boot if your device support it.
StratoEnv populates ENV from one or more AWS SSM Parameter Store paths. Multiple paths form layers, with later paths overriding earlier ones, so you can split common config from node-specific or environment-specific overrides. No Rails dependency; works in Rails, Sinatra, Lambda, scripts, or any Ruby boot process.
