CSDL is a gem for producing Abstract Syntax Trees for the [DataSift CSDL Filter Language](http://dev.datasift.com/docs/csdl). Working with an AST instead of raw strings provides a simpler way to test and validate any given CSDL filter.
This gem provides classes to create arbitrary complex chains respectively trees of conditions. This enables handling filter statements as objects.
Arboreal is yet another extension to ActiveRecord to support tree-shaped data structures. Internally, Arboreal maintains a computed "ancestry_string" column, which caches the path from the root of a tree to each node, allowing efficient retrieval of both ancestors and descendants. Arboreal surfaces relationships within the tree like "children", "ancestors", "descendants", and "siblings" as scopes, so that additional filtering/pagination can be performed.
Breadth first search an HTML page and spit out all the branches of the tree as CSS selectors. Simple filtering is currently hardcoded to ignore HTML tags that we don't style.
Hammock is a Rails plugin that eliminates redundant code in a very RESTful manner. It does this in lots in lots of different places, but in one manner: it encourages specification in place of implementation. Hammock enforces RESTful resource access by abstracting actions away from the controller in favour of a clean, model-like callback system. Hammock tackles the hard and soft sides of security at once with a scoping security system on your models. Specify who can verb what resources under what conditions once, and everything else - the actual security, link generation, index filtering - just happens. Hammock inspects your routes and resources to generate a routing tree for each resource. Parent resources in a nested route are handled transparently at every point - record retrieval, creation, and linking. It makes more sense when you see how it works though. There's a screencast coming soon.
lithos is a self-contained embedded key-value store written from scratch as a native extension — no external database dependency. It uses a log-structured merge (LSM) tree: a write-ahead log makes every write durable, an in-memory sorted memtable flushes to immutable SSTables (with bloom filters), and compaction merges them. Keys and values are arbitrary binary strings; keys are kept in sorted order so you get ordered iteration and range scans, plus crash recovery via WAL replay. Windows MSVC (mswin) Ruby only.
