ruby_avatar_smith is a Ruby gem that provides functionality to generate avatars with user initials. It can be used to create profile pictures dynamically.
MesaReader is a ruby module that contains three classes, MesaData, MesaProfileIndex, and MesaLogDir. These classes are intended to read in three types of files or directories, MESA history/profile logs, MESA profile indexes, and entire MESA LOGS directories, respectively. The resulting objects can then be maniuplated to return useful data in a ruby or tioga script. In addition to simple returning of data columns (the primary function of the MesaData class), some basic searching features are built-in, allowing you to search for profiles that correspond to something in the history, or for parts of history columns that depend on other history columns. All returned vectors have many built-in methods since they are DVectors from the DObjects module in Tioga, which is a requirement. For detailed instructions, see the readme on the github page at https://github.com/wmwolf/MESA_Reader
RSI is a simple full text search engine implementation in Ruby. It aims to be easily useful within other programs: simple to set up, simple to use. An emphasis has been placed on getting functionality out the door, rather than heavy optimization (that can come later). It still appears to be reasonably fast and efficient (while admitting to have not been heavily profiled...).
HeapPeriscopeUi is a Rails engine designed to help developers monitor, visualize, and diagnose memory-related issues within their Ruby applications. It functions by listening for UDP packets containing GC profiler reports and heap snapshots, typically transmitted by a companion agent (like `heap_periscope_agent`). The engine efficiently processes this data: GC reports are batched for optimized database insertion, while comprehensive heap snapshots, including detailed object counts by class, are stored transactionally. Furthermore, HeapPeriscopeUi can broadcast incoming metrics via ActionCable for real-time dashboard updates. Its integrated web interface allows users to browse, filter, and analyze the collected profiler reports, facilitating the identification of memory leaks, excessive object allocations, and opportunities for performance optimization.
