A library for geocoding stuff through the Google Maps Geocoding API with a persisted cache via Tokyo Tyrant.

This ruby on rails plugin enables you to utilize the geosack.com unique geocode caching service, which provides a persistent api that caches your google-map/geocode lookups.
A Splay Tree is a self adjusting binary search tree with the additional property that recently accessed elements are quick to access again. This makes it useful for caches because the most commonly accessed elements will be the fastest ones to access. This tree has an additional feature that allows it's maximum size to be restricted. When it exceeds it's maximum size, it will drop all of the nodes which are at the terminal ends of the tree structure, leaving many of the more commonly accessed nodes intact. This implementation is written in C++ with a Ruby wrapper.
Uses Google Maps Geocoding API (V3) to geocode stuff and optionally caches the results somewhere.
Cache Model objects as key value store on Redis. It maps through namespaced models
Cubicle provides a dsl and aggregation caching framework for automating the generation, execution and caching of map reduce queries when using MongoDB in Ruby. Cubicle also includes a MongoMapper plugin for quickly performing ad-hoc, multi-level group-by queries against a MongoMapper model.
It's ActiveSupport::Cache::MongoStore -- a MongoDB-based provider for the standard Rails cache mechanism. With an emphasis on fast writes and a memory-mapped architecture, Mongo is well-suited to caching. This gem aims to give you what the ubiquitous MemCacheStore does, but with Mongo's persistence. (And without having to put a second RAM devourer in an environment already running Mongo.)
r2flickr is a fork of rflickr, a Ruby implementation of the Flickr API. It includes a faithful reproduction of the published API as well as method encapsulation to provide more useful object mappings. rflickr features result caching to improve performance.
