BackgrounDRb is a Ruby job server and scheduler. Its main intent is to be used with Ruby on Rails applications for offloading long-running tasks. Since a Rails application blocks while serving a request it is best to move long-running tasks off into a background process that is divorced from http request/response cycle. This is the RoR 3 version (Railtie based) of the gem. Please read the GitHub homepage for installation instructions.
IMAPProcessor is a client for processing messages on an IMAP server. It provides some basic mechanisms for connecting to an IMAP server, determining capabilities and handling messages. IMAPProcessor ships with several executables which can query and manipulate IMAP mailboxes in several different ways: imap_archive :: Archives old messages to a new dated mailbox. imap_cleanse :: Delete messages older than a certain age in specified mailboxes. imap_tidy :: Archive + Cleanse: Moves older messages to a dated mailbox. imap_flag :: Flag messages to/from certain people. imap_idle :: Shows new messages in a mailbox. imap_keywords :: Queries an IMAP server for keywords set on messages imap_learn :: Flags messages based on what you've flagged before. imap_mkdir :: Ensures that certain mailboxes exist.
HAST stands for 'Hosting Account Status Tool'. HAST is a tool for fetching domains from Apache configuration files and from Postfix on a hosting server environment. It will then run a report, checking the DNS records for each domain to see if they match your server. This is important for finding "dead" domains where the domain either doesn't exist anymore or where the owner have moved it to another hosting provider. Before you can use HAST, you need to setup a config.yml file. Run 'hast --generate-config > config.yml' to create a sample config file that you can modify.
Perro is a light server built on top of mongrel that helps at least one developer be happy. If it had been designed as production server it would have a cooler name. Like "Dinosaur" or "Freckle". The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks. Developer creates files that are served through this global system. Developer may be tempted to develop such files by creating a folder, moving the files to such folder, double clicking them and watching what happens on the browser whose address bar reads "file:///Users/cohitre/development/my-project/index.html". Perro helps developer be happy by helping overcome temptation.
A store is required by an OpenID server and optionally by the consumer to store associations, nonces, and auth key information across requests and processes. If rails is distributed across several machines, they must must all have access to the same OpenID store data, so the FilesystemStore won't do. The code here is copied from the openid-ruby library examples. All I did was move some things around, add a namespace and package it all up as a rails engine/plugin, with some conveniences, for use with Rails 3.
