Nothing fancy going on here, this module is just a wrapper around the function CGI::escape and CGI::unescape. Functionality is added to the String class, so just add the module and the extra funcitons will be there for you to use (check out the README file for basic usage). I just wanted an easier and cleaner way to encode/decode uri strings for my ruby projects.
Ruby module that I use on a couple of blogs as a shortcut to reference images, audio, footnotes, etc. It's very specific to my needs, but you might find something useful in it.
Adds `before_extended`, `before_included`, and `before_prepended` methods hooks which would be called before the standard `extended`, `included`, and `prepended` Ruby hooks, respectively. Especially useful when you require to "do" something just before the module gets `extended` or `included` to a module/class. In particular, in my specific case, I needed to "do" something if a specific method already exists in the `base` class.
# Mod10 A simple gem to generate mod_10 check digits and check if integers are mod10 valid. ## Installation Add this line to your application's Gemfile: ```ruby gem 'mod_10' ``` And then execute: $ bundle Or install it yourself as: $ gem install mod_10 ## Usage Include the Mod10 module to make the following two methods available - generate_check_digit(value) Which returns an integer value for the mod10 check digit of a string or integer. Note: If the value is 0, then the argument was already mod10 valid. - is_mod10?(value) Returns true or false for the tested value is it is or isn't mod10 valid. ## Contributing 1. Fork it ( https://github.com/[my-github-username]/mod_10/fork ) 2. Create your feature branch (`git checkout -b my-new-feature`) 3. Commit your changes (`git commit -am 'Add some feature'`) 4. Push to the branch (`git push origin my-new-feature`) 5. Create a new Pull Request
This gem is created for the Startup Institute interview. Upon research on what Startup Institute has to offer, I am moved by the transformation the program offers to students’ lives. I would love to be part of a class with similar goals and crave. Thank you all for the consideration and visiting my first gem.
