An implementation of XML Patch (RFC5261) in ruby
The Lorax is a full diff and patch library for XML/HTML documents, based on Nokogiri. It can tell you whether two XML/HTML documents are identical, or if they're not, tell you what's different. In trivial cases, it can even apply the patch. It's based loosely on Gregory Cobena's master's thesis paper, which generates deltas in less than O(n * log n) time, accepting some tradeoffs in the size of the delta set. You can find his paper at http://gregory.cobena.free.fr/www/Publications/thesis.html. "I am the Lorax, I speak for the trees."
Monkey patches on Nokogiri::XML::Document for manipulation of documents for tests
Specdiff aims to improve both RSpec's and WebMock's diffing by applying opinionated heuristics, and comes with integrations (monkey-patches) for both. Particularly noteworthy improvements are made to working with deeply nested hash/array structures in RSpec, and plaintext/xml request bodies in WebMock.
fast_xs provides C extensions for escaping text. The original String#fast_xs method is based on the xchar code by Sam Ruby: * http://intertwingly.net/stories/2005/09/28/xchar.rb * http://intertwingly.net/blog/2005/09/28/XML-Cleansing _why also packages an older version with Hpricot (patches submitted). The version here should be compatible with the latest version of Hpricot code. Ruby on Rails will automatically use String#fast_xs from either Hpricot or this gem version with the bundled Builder package. String#fast_xs is an almost exact translation of Sam Ruby's original implementation (String#to_xs), but it does escape """ (which is an optional, but all parsers are able ot handle it. XML::Builder as packaged in Rails 2.0 will be automatically use String#fast_xs instead of String#to_xs available.
OpenSCAD - a cad language for creating solid 3d objects, useful for CNC and 3D Printing, is incredibly annoying. It doesn't even support variables! Oozby is a markup builder like Markaby or XML Builder, so you can write OpenSCAD programs in Ruby. It also patches in a bunch of really nice features which make programming objects much more fun. Check out the Readme and examples folder for some demos of what this tool can do!
Build and deploy tools for Cocoa apps using Sparkle for distributions and upgrades; it’s like Hoe but for Cocoa apps. Package up your OS X/Cocoa applications into Custom DMGs, generate Sparkle XML, and upload. Instead of hours, its only 30 seconds to release each new version of an application. Build and deploy tools for Cocoa apps using Sparkle for distributions and upgrades; it's like Hoe but for Cocoa apps. The main feature is a powerful rake task "rake appcast" which builds a release of your application, creates a DMG package, generates a Sparkle XML file, and posts the package and XML file to your remote host via rsync. All rake tasks: rake build # Build Xcode Release rake dmg[automount] # Create the dmg file for appcasting (`rake dmg`, or `rake dmg[automount]` to automatically mount the dmg) rake feed # Create/update the appcast file rake upload # Upload the appcast file to the host rake version:bump:major # Bump the gemspec by a major version. rake version:bump:minor # Bump the gemspec by a minor version. rake version:bump:patch # Bump the gemspec by a patch version. rake version:current # Display the current version
