Ruby-Processing is a ruby wrapper for the processing-2.0 art framework. This version supports processing-2.2.1, and uses jruby-complete-1.7.26 or an installed jruby as the glue between ruby and java. Use both processing libraries and ruby gems in your sketches. The "watch" mode, provides a nice REPL-ish way to work on your processing sketches. Features a polyglot maven build, opening the way to use/test latest jruby.
The simulator and RubyMotion REPL make on-device testing a painful cycle of code, compile, check, repeat. *Especially* when it comes to testing the UI, where inexplicable differences can crop up between a device and the simulator. Motion-Xray is an in-app developer's toolbox. Activate Xray (usually by shaking the phone) and a UI editor appears where you can add, modify, and remove views. Why stop there! There's a log panel, and an accessibility panel that gives you a visiualization of how you app "looks" to the blind or color blind. And you're damn right it's extensible! You can write new UI editors, register custom views, and add new panels, for instance maybe you need a Bluetooth device scanner, or a way to check API requests. Enjoy!
Sometimes when you hear about a new library/gem you just wat to kick the kick_the_tires to see what it can do. Sometimes you start with some REPL example from the authors or some sample code or tests that the author has provided. This little gem allowed_push_host you to load up a few basic asserts/refutes/shows to explore the library's objects and method results. When you have finished kicking the tires you may want to take the library out for a spin with some functional, application-line code and you don't want any of the tire kicking out to STDOUT.
Bus Scheme is a Scheme written in Ruby, but implemented on the bus! Every programmer must implement Scheme as a rite of passage; this is mine. Note that at least half of the implementation of Bus Scheme must be written while on a bus. Documentation, tests, and administrivia may be accomplished elsewhere, but the majority of actual implementation code is strictly bus-driven. Bus Scheme is primarily a toy; using it for anything serious is (right now) ill-advised. Bus Scheme aims for general Scheme usefulness optimized for learning and fun. It's loosely targeting R5RS, but varies in huge ways. (For the purposes of this project we pretend that R6RS never happened.)
